Time Management

Plan every day in advance.

Work out how much time you have every day. Spend 10 minutes planning your day the night before. In this way, you will get more of your tasks done. Plan all your tasks in a list. Always work from a list. Your productivity will increase 25%. When you create a list the night before, always add incomplete tasks to the list and make it a point to complete the tasks from the daily list.

Your lists – Split your lists into 4 different lists. Namely Master list, Monthly list, Weekly list and Daily list.

Master List – Everything that you want to do put them in the list including errands, appointments, meetings, tasks, ideas, etc….Then sort them later in the sub-lists.

Monthly List – From the Master list you create a Monthly list at the end of the month for the next month. These may contain items from the Master list.

Weekly List – Plan your entire week in advance. It is like a work in progress list.

Daily List – Includes tasks from Monthly and Weekly lists. It consists of specific tasks to be accomplished on that day. Tick or strike off the activities that you have done on that day. In this way you will feel the achievement you have accomplished and feel motivated.

80/20 rule .

The first 20% tasks in your list are the most important tasks than the rest of the list.  Therefore, you should complete them and do not procrastinate. Take control of what you do next. Choosing the important tasks over the unimportant tasks is your key to success.

Making time if you have none. 

Create quietness – Once you have planned your day, turn off all technologies like handphone, FaceBook, Twitter, email, etc…. These can be your distractions. Delete your emails. You do not need to reply if they are not important. It will help you to complete your tasks more effectively.

Create time –  Set aside specific time blocks in your calender or dairy. Plan them in advance for your example writing articles, answering support tickets, call clients, etc….Maximise your productivity by noting down important ideas every 15 mins or keeping track of what you have done. Also, work on a countdown timer so that you try to finish your task efficiently.

Week 4 – List Building Phase 1

Register With Aweber

I have been waiting for this to start. People has been saying the money is in the list. This is very true. So lets get started.

First, you have to register with a autoresponder e.g. Aweber. This is a must as you need to keep all your subscribers’ names and emails.

Download Social Icons

Next, download the social icons so that you can connect with your readers and subscribers.

Add Icons To Your Blog

From WordPress, go to Media and download the Icons.

Set Up Aweber List

From the Aweber that you have signed up, create and set up a list name for your blog.

Set Up Confirmation Message

Once your list name is created in Aweber, set up the opt-in message and the follow up thanks you message.

Set Up Aweber Form And Get Code

Set up your opt-in form. Remove unnecessary Aweber ads, change the form color to your linking, resize the form and change the submit word to Join Now. Save the form and get the html code of the form. Save the code in a text file.

Register For Social Media Sites

Register for social media sites like FaceBook, Twitter, Youtube and Linked-In. These will help your business tremendously. Link the social sites to your blog.

Activate Top Side Bar

In order to set up your opt-in form you have to remove the links and categories and place it in the widget. Go to flexibility 3 plugin and click the Top side bar button and insert yes.

Set Up Top Side Bar

In this section, replace all the social media links and buttons with the html codes that John provides. Copy them and place it in the Top Side Bar box provided in the Flexibility 3 theme. Refresh your site and you will see your opt-in form and the social media buttons.

In the meantime, keep posting new contents in your blog.

Week 3 – Monetizing Your Blog

In this week, we are learning how to monetize our blog using Google adsense.

Adsense Basics

In your adsense account, you can choose which ads to block or allow to be shown on your blog. Initially, your adsense ads will not be related to what you are posting in your blog. This is ok because as time goes by the adsense ads will slowly change to be related to what you post in your blog. At your adsense account top right corner, copy your publisher id and save it in your computer.

Add Adsense Ads To Your Blog.

Go to your flexibility 3 theme and choose adsense button. Paste your publisher id in the space provided. Choose to place the ad in the header with image and bottom posts with text. Save and refresh your blog to see the adsense ads.

Adding Links To Your Blog

 In this section, you will learn how to add affiliate links to your blog so that when people buy through your links you will be paid a commission. First, create link categories then add new link. Place your affiliate link in the URL section. Click which link category you want it to appear in your blog. Then click save. Refresh your blog and you will see your link. Btw, don’t forget to drag your link wiget to your right side bar.

Adding Links To Your Posts

As when you write contents in your blog, place links in your contents by using the hyper link icon. So that when your readers who read your post and click the link, they will be brought to the merchant’s site and when they buy at the merchant site you will be paid a commission.

Week 2 – Improving Blog Design

Create Folder and Download Files

Create a folder called blog in your hard disk and download the flexibility 3 theme and the header graphic into the folder.

Install and Activate Theme

Install and activate the flexibility 3 theme.

Install Header Image

Install the header graphic image for your domain.

Edit Header Settings

Go to the header section of the theme and remove the search option and the RSS option. This will make your header look nicer. Next, go to General settings and remove the title of the header and description to make the header look nicer.

Install Social Media Plugins

Search for Sharebar plugin and install and activate it. This will help to share your blog in FaceBook, Twitter, etc… when you click the buttons. Next, search for dofollow plugin and install and activate it. This will help to make your blog as do follow backlink when other people want to reference their blog to your blog.

Remove Feature and Footer Section

In the Feature and Footer section of the flexibility 3 theme, remove the feature which has the ads in your blog and the footer of your blog. This will make your blog look nicer.

Add About Me Page

Add a page in your blog about me. Just simply write sometime about myself and post the page in my blog.

Continue Posting To Your Blog

Continue writing at least 4 to 5 more postings in your blog. Google likes new contents. This will help to boost higher ranking in your blog.

Apply Google Adsense Account

Post at least 4 to 5 contents then apply for Google Adsense Account. Google loves to see fresh contents. They will approve your Adsense Account.

Hello!!!

Welcome to my Partnership To Success week 1 program. In this week 1 program, I’m going to list down what I have learned and the progress I have achieved.

Week 1 – Laying the foundation

Find a suitable domain name.

The purpose of this section is to find a suitable domain name for your personal blog. This will reflect yourself who you are and what you do in your niche or profession. The best domain name will be your own name.

Register domain and hosting.

After finding your domain name is available then register for your domain name and hosting. The best place to register for domain name is NameCheap. And the best place to register for your hosting is HostGator.

Login To Your Control Panel.

You will be sent with your new login detail once you registered with Hostgator. With the login detail, log in to domain control panel at www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel. In the control panel you will see tons of services where you can control your domain.

Register An Account With ClickBank

You will need to register an account with ClickBank because you will be putting your account links in your blog when you promote digital products to make money. The website is www.clickbank.com

Install Your Blog.

At the control panel look for a service called Fantastico De Luxe. This will install WordPress in your domain. At this moment create your own admin username and password so that later you can log in to your WordPress blog to post contents.

Start Posting Your Blog

Once WordPress has been installed in your blog start posting contents in your blog.
